Meet the founders

Channing and Maria met in design school at Maryville University. They were fast friends with ideologies that so beautifully aligned. They both believe that the most beautiful spaces are a little bit imperfect, authentic materials are of top priority and the client should stand front and center. At the young ages of 23 (Channing) and 22 (Maria ) the duo decided over a pitcher of sangria that building a company and creating a design world that was solely their own was their shared dream. In 2016, C&M Interiors was formed with goals that are ever evolving and expanding into the future. Currently, the team is working on growing their national presence and gaining client trust across the nation with aspirations of international work and forming a truly bespoke lifestyle brand.

CHANNING Krichevsky

CO-FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL INTERIOR DESIGNER

Channing is first and foremost an advocate for the client and for design. Her approach specializes in impactful, refined interiors while she recognizes that the best solutions accommodate the clients needs but also consider their soul, passions, and quirks. Channing’s design philosophy is forward thinking but always mindful of tradition holding great respect for original architectural details in all of her work. She wholeheartedly believes that no two projects should ever look alike which pushes her to deliver thoughtfully designed, bespoke to the client spaces. Her personal aesthetic is derived from her love for historic architecture but bringing a relaxed ethos to the formality of traditional homes.

Channing is a Co - Founder and Principal Interior Designer at C&M Interiors and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Maryville University. Channing currently resides in St. Louis with her husband and two boys, Wolf & Ronen.

Maria Hogrefe

CO-FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL INTERIOR DESIGNER

Maria is known for her thoughtful and textural interiors that give homes life! Her approach is one that is uniquely distinct to each client as she firmly believes that each home should be a reflection of their personal style. She makes it her primary goal to truly listen to each client and get to know them on a deeper level. This is what allows her to produce successful design strategies time after time. Maria trusts that successful design is intuitive, functional, elegant, and should always be a direct reflection of the client’s hopes and desires. She describes her personal aesthetic as natural, textural, and collected.

Meet the Team

Heirloom Quality is a Non-negotiable

The idea of heirloom quality emphasizes our love for the planet and the creation of products designed to endure generations, crafted with exceptional materials and meticulous attention to detail. This principle prioritizes timeless aesthetics, durability, and a commitment to excellence, ensuring each piece becomes a cherished legacy.

Function always comes first

This principle underscores the importance of designing spaces that prioritize practicality and usability above all else. Every detail is thoughtfully considered to ensure the design enhances the client’s experience, with aesthetics serving to complement, not compromise, the space’s purpose.

Live by the art of more but also edit, edit, edit

We encourage embracing layering, displaying collections and curating a robust art collection while maintaining a disciplined focus on refinement. It’s about incorporating that extra tassle fringe or bold color but maintaining clarity and balance throughout the design process.

Spark curiosity and make it risky– this is where the magic happens!

By embracing bold choices and innovative ideas, this principle aims to create spaces that captivate and inspire, transforming calculated risk into creativity's most powerful ally.

Favor natural materials as much as possible

We emphasize the use of authentic, sustainable resources that age beautifully and provide a tactile, organic connection to the world. This principle prioritizes materials like wood, stone, and wool to create designs that are environmentally conscious, durable, and inherently timeless.

Never forget about the ceiling and always add a trim

This one is simple, never forget about the ceiling and always add a trim!

Your home is not a museum

We highlight the importance of creating spaces that are lived-in, comfortable, and reflective of personal stories rather than pristine showpieces. This principle embraces practicality, warmth, and character, ensuring that each environment we design serves the people who inhabit the space rather than existing solely for display.
